Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No- It is Mr Barnes!

This morning the school surprised Mr Barnes with a microlight flight all around North Berwick. It was organised by the management of the school as a thank you and a goodbye gift for Mr Barnes. All the classes went outside with their Olympic country flags and each class represented a different letter which read ‘We love all Mr Barnes!’. Have a look at some of the amazing photos from this morning.

  1. We were the letter M, we hope you enjoyed the flight over Law Primary School. It must have been exciting to fly in a microlight and over the Bass Rock! We hope you have a good retirement and we will miss you. Please come back and visit us.

  2. It was a truly remarkable and memorable day. I knew nothing in advance of this airborne adventure..you can’t imagine how I felt as I approached the school to see the message spelt out by all my lovely pupils and my former colleagues waving a Law banner from the top of the Law. I am so lucky and privileged and feeling a wee bit jet-lagged right now.Huge thanks to you all.

  3. Love the articles… In our daughter’s words, today was ‘awesome’. Thanks to all for making it so special, and may Mr Barnes continue to fly high!

  4. Did Mr Barnes have his roller skates on for the undercarriage?
