Malawi Day 31.3.10

malawiToday the whole school got involved in a Malawi Day in order to raise money for the school kitchen we are helping to fund.

Everyone dressed in the colours of Malawi flag and there were lots of different learning activities going on all around the school including a Malawi Maths challenge.

  2. I think Malawi is an unfair countryand needs help on wdnesday we experianced of what they had to do it is realy unfair of what they had to do but we are supporting them all the way through.

  5. I think the Malawi maths was really fun especially when you had to do as much plats as you could. I was surprised at how many kwacha in a pound there are 253.

    In Malawi kids our age work on a farm and thay get payed 50 kwachas a week.
    I liked Malawi maths because it’s a lot different to our maths.

  8. I was shocked that it was 1300 kwacha for a backpack. I learned that there is 253 malawi kwacha in a british pound. I enjoyed the seed sorting thing

  14. i realy enjoyed the malawi day because we got to dress in the colours of the malawi flag and the maths was good! in miss brodie’s activity we had 5 different types of seed’s and we split them into 5 piles it was realy fun!
