The person I know is not famous or well known, they have not taken over the world or done anything remarkably different. For all I know they may not even be particularly smart or witty, but I admire them because they show that anyone can make a difference to society, no matter what your opportunities are. The person I admire is the lollipop lady, I admire her because she hasn’t done anything abnormal or amazing (that I know of) but she still makes a difference and an impact. You could say she saves lives everyday by stopping people from getting run over. She doesn’t know us at all but she still makes sure we cross the road safely. I think she is an inspiration to everybody because she is a living monument to show just how easy it is to change the world, even if it is just a little bit. Every time I pass her now I think about how easy it is to do something and change peoples lives without even thinking about it. She shows how you don’t have to do well in school or be outgoing or amazing at something to make a change. You can be anything you want to be and still make a difference, it doesn’t take much – just making sure an old lady crosses the road safely, or helping her with her bags so she doesn’t hurt herself can make a huge difference. Even talking to someone about their problems could make a difference, or saying hello to someone as they pass you in the street could put a smile on their face. When you think about it she really proves how easy it is to help. Another reason that I chose the lollipop lady is because she should have some recognition, most people will walk past her everyday without a second glance but if you think about it, what if she wasn’t there? What if you crossed the road without looking and a car hit you? How would that change your and your family’s life? If you died it could case your family and friends a lot of grief, pain and hurt. By making sure you cross safely the lollipop lady could be saving you and your family from that. Anyone can make a difference, but not everybody does. The choice is yours.

My favourite story is the twilight saga, sure at first you may laugh and think its just some soppy teen romance story, and maybe that it is all it was ever meant to be, but to me it is more than that. The whole way through it has lots of morals and philosophical questions, is it okay for vampires to drink from humans? Are there really supernatural beings out there, like vampires and werewolves? Should love win over law? Once you really look through it, you see it is all about self-discipline and restraint, love and forgiveness. The book is about so much more than a romance, it is about how Edward overcomes his thirst and learns amazing self control for the person he loves. It is also about how sworn enemies, literally blood rivals, overcome their hate for one another to save the people they both love. It shows how strong love can be and how many different types there are. It made me think about what I really want in life and how love can be the impossible. Maybe I am trying to read to much into it, and maybe I do think about it too much, but to me the book is more than a story and it definitely makes me think and question the life I lead.

“True friends are those who really know you but love you anyway.” Edna Buchanan
This is one of my favourite quotes because it is so true. Your friends are people that you can be around and you don’t have to act, you can just be yourself. They will see and understand all your flaws but they won’t mind because they will understand nobody is perfect. They will be there for you when you make mistakes and they will help you learn from them. I like this quote because it gives good advice – that you shouldn’t have to act around your friends and anybody who doesn’t like you for who you are isn’t worth bothering with.

your money helps people world wide, from street kids, to women and men suffering abuse.
One sad case is a little boy staying in India called Ram, who one day was told by a new boy in the village that he would take Ram to see the hills in a near by village, but what happened instead was near unbelievable. Ram was taken to work in the big city, sweeping floors and wiping tables in a restraunt.
youre money helped Ram and many kids like him. this is one of t he reasons why sports relief is such a great cause.

To me when I hear the word “Kayaking” I think of all the friends I’ve made over four years and the skills I’ve learned from them. Kayaking ha s got to be my favourite sport even though I don’t really like much sports! I discovered kayaking around four years ago when I was about ten. I found that I was really good at it and I just keep getting better! Over the years, I met people that were so nice that you couldn’t forget them well you wouldn’t want to forget them!!! I have made friends with Rachel, Sophie, Niall, Iain, Richard, Courtney and Eilidh who come from all over the county. In two years I’ve competed in four competitions and I have won first in one run out of around forty people. I have also came second, thirteenth and nineteenth. My favourite three things about kayaking are one- capsizing! It’s amazing and great fun! Once I fell in when we were on a day trip at the River Tweed and one of my shoes fell in as well as me and I’ve never seen it since! Second- I have met so many friends which has helped when we are practicing so that I can socialise with them more. Thirdly- I enjoy it!

 A Christmas Tree
The true meaning of Christmas is presents. Although there is a deep religious meaning to Christmas, what matters most to teens is the gifts tucked under the tree. We all look forward to opening presents on Christmas Day, be it money, toys, books, or video games. Already, parents are Christmas shopping, and already kids are snooping, ruining the surprise of the big day. Christmas teaches people to love each other too . . . mainly by swapping presents.
The true meaning of Christmas is presents,
Or perhaps turkey, nut roast or pheasant.
To some, it could even be Jesus,
And to others, it’s Santa, who sees us . . .
Toys, books, games, money . . .
The idea of presents is really quite funny.
Swapping and sharing, getting gifts for free,
Presents are what Christmas means to me!
But with this happiness comes a cost,
-Think of all the money you have lost! Read the rest of this entry »

I think the true meaning is being generous ang giving and receving. Here is a poem i wrote.
Christmas was made, to celebrate Jesus
But prezzies and toys, can also please us,
Under the trees, the presents await
But unfortunatly for some, the presents come late
Some belive in Santa, who rides on his sleigh
He’s making the presents, for christmas day
Some of us love, eating lots of food
But i like the Prezzies, the’re also quite good
At christmas eve, I couldn’t sleep
Thinking of the presents, that lie in a heap
I finaly awoke, on chistmas day
I got the present I wanted, and shouted “No Way!”
I’d waited so long, for this to be here
But now i wait, until next year.
