The story is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors. Jackson Curtis has a big part in this movie by being the hero. The problem is that plot is just unrealistic. The movie makes no sense whatsoever. Part of the movie had good scenes which made it expectable to watch. My favourite part in this movie is when the tsunami heads for the massive submarines and the main actor nearly drowns but also saves everyone in that submarine. In this movie I also liked it when Curtis was looking for the map and the Yellowstone volcano erupted and he nearly got hit by the rocks coming from it. I liked this because it was fun to watch and made me move to the edge of my seat. The bad bit of this film is when the President stayed in the same place just to help the people in Washington. This just doesn’t make sense because I don’t think anyone would do that just to be remembered for his bravery and to be thought of as a good president. This also made his daughter get really upset and I thought I think a parent is meant to make their children happy, not make them sad.

This movie is three and a half out of five.

Step Brothers is a comedy film which lets people see the funny side of having a stepbrother. In the film a single mother meets a single father and they move in with each other. They both have sons from their previous marriages who still live at home. The sons are called 39-year-old Brennan Huff and 40-year-old Dale Dobackand. It turns out that they don’t like each other but later in the film become friends. They do a bad thing by destroying the fathers and stepfathers boat and get chucked out of the house and have to get their own house and job. It turns out they then have a good life and do alot of good things. 

It is a very funny film and is better than most other films like The Hangover. I would give it 9/10 because its very funny and has some action in it.

Sherlock Holmes stars Robert Downey Jr (Sherlock Holmes), Jude Law (Dr.John Watson) and Rachael McAdams (Irene Adler). Sherlock Holmes is about a wise detective and his colleague Dr. John Watson. At the start of the film Holmes and Watson close the case of the villain, Lord Blackwood. He is punished by being hanged. However, all is not what is seems and Blackwood resumes his killing spree with Holmes on his trail. Holmes embarks on a dangerous case when Blackwood uses black magic. Holmes must fight Blackwood and stay away from his ex romantic interest, Irene Adler.

I liked Sherlock Holmes because it was full of action and is very clever. My favourite character was Irene Adler because she works against Holmes and Blackwood. Adler is very smart and evil. I enjoyed going to see Sherlock Holmes with all my friends and I would go and see it again.

I would give it 5 out of 5 because it had alot of action and was funny.

Avatar is James Cameron’s second film that has changed cinema forever. Avatar was filmed with a specially developed camera to make it the best and most realistic 3D ever. The film itself is about humans travelling to a rainforest covered moon called Pandora to find a new fuel source for a dying Earth. Pandora is inhabited by native blue people called the Na’vi. The Na’vi live in a massive tree called the Hometree and they believe that every tree is connected and a part of life. So when the humans try to cut down the trees, the Na’vi are determined to defend them. Meanwhile a groupof scientists have developed an Avatar programme in which a human can become one of the Na’vi. Jake Sully is an ex-marine sent to Pandora to take part in the Avatar programme. Jake’s Avatar was created from his twin brother’s geneswho died a couple of months earlier. The point of the Avatar programme is so that the humans can bond with the Na’vi and find out a way to either cooperate with them, or killl them for good. But as Jake befriends the Na’vi, he finds himself becoming one of them.

I would definetly recommend this film to my friends because it is fast paced and action packed.

Avatar is the latest film from Titanic director, James Cameron. It is one of the best films I have ever seen. Set in the distant future, the main character is a wheelchair bound ex-marine called Jake Sully. His twin brother has recently died. The people that whom his brother worked for want Jake to take part in a project on a planet called Pandora (whether they are harvesting super fuels from the ground). The project is to deal with the indigenous, Na’vi who live on Pandora. Jake is given an Avatar, which is a body of one of the aliens grown especially from his brothers DNA. In his first outing in his Avatar body Jake is seperated from the rest of his group. You’ll have to watch the rest of the film to find out what happens.

This film is amazing. I would recommend seeing it in £D and at an I-MAX cinema for the full experience. It deserves 10/10.

To me New Moon is a great film. In the film there is lots of drama and excitement. A thrill to watch. This film is a sequel to Twilight saga. The movie is about Edward leaving Bella , then Jacob trying to be Bella’s new boyfriend. Unfortunetly a mix up over the phone made Edward think Bella was dead so he wanted to die too. he went to the Volturi who had the power to kill vampires but they would need to see if they were to much of a value to die or not. Turns out Edward was,the only way he could die was exposing himself to human kind. Meanwhile Alice had told Bella that Edward was going to kill himself and was on her way to stop him. Jacob tryesd to stop her but she was still in love with Edward so she left. Alice can tell the future and he was going to expose himself at 12:00 so they had to get there fast. Thankfully they made it just in time for him to get him in the shadows before anyone is able to see him.  Then Felix and Demetri take them back to the Volturi’s tower.  Edward has a Fight with Felix and manages to persuade Aro tolet them go.  Back in Forks Edward Proposes to Bella.

The film was very dramatic and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would advise people to see it!!!!!!

The other day I went to the cinema to watch Sherlock Holmes. The film exceeded my expectations. Sherlock Holmes is full of exciting fight scenes, laugh out loud comedy and most of all contains a great plot. I felt that the actors and actresses played their character very well, in particular Robert Downey Junior as Sherlock Holmes. I would recommend the film to everyone as it is very good and straight to the point. Not once will you find yourself bored in this film. I would highly recommend Sherlock Holmes to everyone by giving it 10 out of 10.

The proposal is an amazing film. It is so good I’ve seen it twice  

This film stars two very funny actors, Sandra Bullock and Ryan Renolds. Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) is an annoying editor-in-chief of a book company that makes her young assistant Andrew Paxton (Ryan Renolds) marry her when she is told she is being deported back to canada. He only accepts this task if he gets a promotion. When the goverment tell them they need to do a marriage test to make sure they’re not lying the have to go to Andrew’s family house in Alaska to meet his family and so Margaret can learn more about him since he knows everything he needs to know about her. Everything goes fine until Andrew’s father gets a call from the Government to make sure they are in Alaska but Andrew’s Dad invites him to the (fake) wedding. Unfortunately, they blow their cover at the altar and Margaret has to be deported. The only thing is, they are truly in love with each other. In the end they get married legally and they live happily ever after x

I recommend this film to teenage girls as it would be perfect

Hey everyone,

 Aylee Bunting and I would like to tell you about a film that we recently saw in 3D, the film we saw was called G-Force. which consisted of 4 guinea-pigs and a mole pretecting the world from any harm that might show up. However, near the end of the film there was an unsuspected turn around as one of the team turns to the bad side and trys to destroy the world.

We loved this as Aylee thought it was a good guinea-pig comedy. I was able to connect with the film a little bit more as I have 2 guinea-pigs who are just as funny as the G-Force. Out of five stars Aylee rates it to a 4 & 1/2, but i would rate it to a five out of five.

 Today we are going to talk about a T.V show we watched last night on SKY 1. It was brilliant. It was about Ross Kemp who went to Nigeria to see what the big deal was about Pirates.

 He visited the biggest slums in Nigeria on his journey and he found out that pirates use guns, knives and wear bulletproof vests. They take a small boat out and start shooting the boat and they are after the oil and money. We found out that at least once a day there is an oil spillage and there are at least 300 kidnapps a year in Nigeria. He spoke to the govenor of Nigeria and the govenor said kidnapping is a death sentence . Nowadays many fishermen don’t go into the sea because of the pirates.

 Ross Kemp spoke to a man who had been kidnapped by a pirate for 26 days and they never fed him for 10 whole days and he knew them well. The pirates are very rude and are mostly criminals and they hide their face with a bandanna and some pirates are just out of secondary school.

 The show was fascinating and 3 people in my class watched it and we all enjoyed it.
