Recently in Maths Set 1 we have been learning about the commutative property of Arithmetic. This states that the order of numbers in a multiplication or addition sum can be changed to get exactly the same result as if you left the numbers to be added or multiplied where they where. This means the order of the numbers when you multiply or add does not matter.

An example of this is sixty-four+two hundred+thirty-six is exactly the same as two hundred+sixty-four+thirty-six (both equal three hundred). And that’s pretty much all to commutative property.

We have mainly been doing this in Mental Maths.

I am looking forward to doing Mathletics in my Maths Set as we have heard our teacher is getting us registered.
