The Pupil Council met today with Mrs Swinton.

Golden Rules and Golden Stars

The children in the School Group checked their classrooms to make sure Golden Rules posters were displayed.  The children in the group said that each class had now been given a golden star to hang on the back of the Star of the Week’s chair.  Every class should now be using their golden stars.

Eco Update

The Eco Group said that they had met with Miss Fleming to discuss our application for our second Green Flag.   The Eco group are working on a plan and Ruaraidh told us that the group felt that we needed more bins for the playground.  Our bins get so full that the litter is blown out again when it gets windy.  The group also discussed setting up a Bug Hotel to encourage and protect wildlife in the playground.  We will be interested to hear how that develops.

What do you think about our school?

We spoke about asking the children and parents what they thought about our school.  Mrs Swinton told the Pupil Council that the Parent Council thought it would be a good idea to give the children and parents a questionnaire to do together as homework.  The children thought this was a good idea.  They agreed on some questions to ask pupils and came up with some good ideas about what to ask the parents!
