Fiddlesticks

Fiddlesticks started in August 2008.  The main aim was to combine Ross High and Preston Lodge’s string groups and give Primary string players an orchestra to play in.  We have maintained a membership of around 45 players including a few parents (who are very welcome).  The repertoire consists fundamentally of Scottish and Irish folk-rock, we have a complete string orchestra with electric violin soloists, additional drums, guitars, flute, accordion, percussion etc. 

At present we have members from Ross High, Preston Lodge High, Napier University, Queen Margaret University, Telford College, St Gabriel’s Primary, Saltoun Primary, MacMerry Primary, Elphinstone Primary and King’s Meadow Primary.  We also have the support of several parents.  Prospective members should contact cwilson@elcschool.org.uk
