This is the original Fiddlesticks orchestra, started in 2008 and maintaining 45 members. It involves instrumentalists from Primary and Secondary schools in the Tranent, Prestonpans and Haddington clusters. The latest Fiddlesticks orchestra to be launched is in Dunbar Grammar on Wednesdays 4-5pm. This orchestra will break for the summer and restart on 22nd August. 2 small hoodies are left unsold if anyone wants one – £20 each T shirts available in adult size small, medium and large – £10 each CDs of recent recordings – £5 each ‘Fiddlesticks Remixed’ for adults aged 16+ meets at Elphinstone Community Centre (part of the Primary School on the main street) on Monday evenings from 7.30pm – 9pm. Launched in November 2011, we currently have 8 violins, 2 flutes, 2 clarinets, a trumpet, 2 acoustic guitarists, a violist, a cellist, a bass guitarist a bassoonist and a drummer. New members are very welcome. £3 per person per evening includes refreshments, music, cds etc. Pay as you go. This group will stop for July and restart in August. |
