As I am sure all of you know we have been collecting backpacks for the Mary’s Meals Project. Our target was 40 bags and we are delighted to announce that today we exceeded our target and collected a total of 41 bags!!

All contributions, big or small, old or new are welcome (except toothpaste!). Please refer to your pamplet to see what we need. There are also posters in the windows of the school and information on our Outdoor Notice board. Thanks for your support! Backpacks will be collected on the 1st May 2013. This photo shows the group of pupils who are leading the collection for Mary’s Meals.

Well…..this continues to be a problem! ….So we got on the phone to East Lothian Council’s Dog warden, Carl, who came along and spray painted warnings on the pavement outside our school. Clyde, the Commonwealth Games Mascot visited our school on Tuesday morning. We watched a DVD about how he became the Mascot for the games. He was very friendly and pupils were impressed with his ‘spikey, purple hair!’

Thank you to all our parents/carers who attended our Parental Consultations on Wednesday and Thursday. I enjoyed chatting to you all and appreciate all your feedback at my consultation station! On Thursday it was the Nursery’s turn to host the Bake sale. We had lots of delicious goodies to choose from to buy. We made £69.75! Audrey Fleming was our Community coffee morning hostess. We invited Lena and Maureen and they held a Book bug session for Nursery,Playgroup and P1/2. Thanks to all involved and all who supported us!
