A fantastic week of activities going on at Knox Academy. The Outdoor Learning Service Delivered a 4 day programme to S3 pupils which involved;
Hillwalking – Walking the highest peaks in the Pentlands
Rock Climbing – Berwick Law climbing and a boulder scramble to the summit
Paddlesports - Kayaks, play-boats, Canadian canoes, and inflatable canoes too!
Coasteering – Exploring the inter-tidal zone around North Berwick
There was also a bonus activity of indoor climbing (warm-down!!). These activities were tackled with great confidence by the pupils, some great weather too -and today’s finale, coasteering was superb as the sea conditions on this coastal journey were spot on. A week to remember for the S3 pupils as they continue their learning journey.
The service has been delivering a range of activities across Schools in East Lothian and beyond this week.
