As always to supporting staff and staff back at school on these days help make it all happen. These challenges are a fantastic opportunity for pupil development and further contributing to developing successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. It also encourages a great deal of interaction between school pupils and staff alike.
The core values of Curriculum for Excellence echo the key concepts of outdoor learning: challenge, enjoyment, relevance, depth, development of the whole person and an adventurous approach to learning.
It has been hugely rewarding to watch the teams using a huge variety of skills at these events and witness some of the benefits of Outdoor Learning and the power of experiential learning in action.
If you haven’t entered teams from your school this year so far it’s not to late !! You can check out the dates and info on the forthcoming challenges here.
