 Have you been using ActivInspire, but find yourself lost? This session via webinar ** will provide you with a clear overview of each of the browsers and how to navigate through the program.

The main objectives will be to (a)  Identify and explore the browsers in ActivInspire and (b)  Discover how to effectively use the features of each browser

** Think about a webinar as a way to attend a conference without leaving home. Using your computer and telephone, you can hear a presentation (like a conference call) and also see the presenter’s slides (watching over an internet connection). You won’t be able to see the presenter or the moderator, or others attending the program — and they won’t be able to see you. (A plus if you want to attend in your pajamas!)

We don’t want you inconvenienced by having a board or projector problem so we have an Audio Visual contract in place with AVM Education (formerly known as Matrix Display)  Have a look at the rebranded Help sheets.

We have an audio visual contract in place with AVM Education Ltd  (previously known as Matrix Display Systems Ltd)  which allows you to have an engineer visit your class within 24 hours if the fault cannot be rectified via advice by telephone.  Call 0845 26 26 600 to report any faults – don’t hestitate to call and ask a question if you are unhappy about any aspect of the board / projector functionality.

Some of you may already be using ActivInspire software tools when you use your Interactive Whiteboard, others may still be using ActivPrimary.  ActivInspire is the latest version of the software and the only one that is fully supported by Promethean.  Any whiteboard training provided will be focussing on ActivInspire.  Please can you check within your Applications Folder on your desktop to see if it has been installed on your laptop or PC? The icon is the same as at the top of this post and will appear to the left of the ActivPrimary icon.  Click here to see a screenshot.

We are encouraging all staff to request this to be installed for the start of the new academic year.  Please log a call with IT Helpdesk (ithelpdesk@eastlothian.gov.uk) if you do not currently have it.
