PRIMARY 7 PROFILES
So far this term, Primary 7 have been very busy working on their personal Profiles. Every child has to discuss, summarise and record information about themselves both electronically and in written form, in preparation for the end of term, when each P7 pupil will have an official document to share with their Parents. They have been asked to comment upon e.g. different areas of the curriculum, personal achievements, skills for life and future aspirations …..Almost a mini CV!
This is not only good practice in life skills for the future, but an excellent way in which pupils can reflect upon their learning, assess knowledge acquired, both in and out of school, create personal statements and share their hopes and dreams.

Auction Night Success!
A huge thank you to all those who supported our Auction on Friday night.
It was a most enjoyable evening, and with the combination of everyone’s generosity with Sheena’s persuasive powers as an auctioneer, we raised about £2400!
This really is an amazing sum that will go a long way towards providing the Maths resources that the school needs.
See you at the May Fair!!
An Active Start!
P4/5 have had a fun and active start to the new term!
The highlight of our week was Thursday’s trip down the John Muir Way with Bill from Outdoor Education, Mrs Wareham, Miss Reeves and Mrs Socha. We split into two groups and each started our walk from a different point (either West Barns or school). We timed things beautifully and managed to meet in the middle for lunch! As well as admiring the countryside we took part in lots of different activities like den building, creating transient art and practicing our camouflage skills.
Mrs Wareham has already uploaded a fantastic sideshow with the pictures she took. There are a few more pictures below.
On Wednesday Mrs Tsang came in to help us with our ICT and maths. She will be coming to visit us once a week for the rest of the term. We are going to be learning a bit more about Malaysia over the next few weeks and started off by searching the internet to find information for a country fact file.
In maths we are still looking at multiplication and division. Most of us have been learning how to quickly multiply a number by a multiple of ten and are getting pretty confident with this. We have been playing a variety of different games to practice our skills.

Face Britain
Today is the launch of the projection onto Buckingham Palace.
Projection and Nationwide Digital Display
Every child’s self portrait will be used in a very special montage portrait of HM The Queen to be projected onto Buckingham Palace between 8.30pm – 11.15pm from 19th – 21st April. We are inviting everyone who has taken part in Face Britain to come and see the projection, which will be a spectacular sight, and are particularly keen for people to come to the switch on night on Thursday 19th April.
We realise that for the vast majority of those that have taken part in Face Britain it will not be possible to visit the projection in person. We are therefore delighted that the montage portrait of HM The Queen will also be simultaneously showcased on the national network of BBC Big Screens in town centres and via the network of JCDecaux digital advertising screens in train stations across the UK..
NOTE OF SUCCESS!
Thanks to our Music Instructor Liz Woodsend, the dedication of the pupils (the excellent support of Parents too) and the extra practice by means of a musical recital at a recent whole School assembly, three of our budding musicians at East Linton Primary School passed their exams with flying colours!
They shared their success ranging from Merits to Distinctions, with great pride to their classmates and will record their very well earned results in their Achievement Folders, in which all of our pupils keep a record to celebrate success and achievement both in and out of School….. a keepsake for the years to come! CONGRATULATIONS and VERY WELL DONE to all of you!
