Fire Safety

We have been learning about fire safety at home this week.

We visited the local fire station and learned about fire risks, hazards at home and the importance of having a working smoke alarm. We are all going to make a fire escape plan at home with our families and check  that we have a working smoke alarm in our homes.

Becoming Museum Curators

Becoming Museum Curators in the Classroom

Primary 2 got the opportunity to become Museum curators.  Sarah Cowie, from the museum service came in to school to show us how.

We got to investigate and touch lots of objects.  Most of the objects were from the Victorian times as we will be starting our ‘Then and Now’ topic soon after the February holidays.

This was good practise as some of the classes will be creating a museum in their own classroom.
