Tonight a survey form will come home in your child’s school bag asking you to give your views and ideas about the school.

The purpose of this survey is to help P6A parent council class representatives to represent your views at the next Parent Council meeting October 7th in the library at 7:30 – as always all welcome.

Social Studies:     The Desperate Journey, The Jacobites, The Body, Germany
Science:    Air Resistance, Electric Circuits, Burning, The Solar System
Literacy:
Writing:     Instructions, Letters, Imaginative Stories, Reports, Writer’s Craft, Leaflets and Posters, Poetry
Spelling:    Nelson spelling programme, Dictionary Skills
Grammar:    Key grammar programme
Comprehension: S.R.A, Shared texts, Comprehension success
Numeracy:
Maths Setting: TJ maths at appropriate level
Class Maths:    co-ordinates, time, money, symmetry, problem solving
The children will also have classes in I.C.T, drama, health, library, R.M.E, German, P.S.D, Art, Music and P.E.

What we are learning Term 1

The Desperate Journey: We are learning about the Clearances and going to make a crofting village. We will also be going to New Lanark.

In science we are learning about energy and forces e.g. air resistance.
