On Monday all P5 pupils attended the Basketball Festival at Dunbar Grammar School. Once we got there we were all split into groups and mixed with pupils from both West Barns and Innerwick Primary. We had 6 stations that we all visited. All stations had activities which involved testing our own fitness, shooting and mini-basketball games!! All teams worked very well with each other and had a great day!!

A huge well done to everyone who took the time to explore
the activities suggested in the Meaningful Maths leaflet. The
feedback we have received on the games and websites in the leaflet has been extremely positive and we are very pleased to have been able to hand out so many certificates and awards throughout the fortnight.
This week in club golf we have been putting.
Today P5D were hitting headlines as they wrote fantastic newspaper articles about the first moon landing. We used alliteration, puns and rhyme to make our headlines catchy. Among the many super ideas were – Nasa is Buzzing over Moon Landing, Armstrong is over the Moon, Fantastic First Flight For Apollo 11, Neil and Buzz do the Moonwalk!
Brilliant work today boys and girl
We have been learning about the Aurora Borealis, ( Northern Lights) We were amazed that these beautiful curtains of light are created when fast electrons from the solar wind slams into the upper atmosphere of the Earth.
We are really looking forward to sharing our learning in our new blog.
Lok out for lots of photographs, comments and posts from our wonderful P5 pupils!
