To Blog or not to Blog, that is the question!

I met up with my friends James and Pauline last night to discuss Fringe things and Pauline and myself got chatting about Blogging and actually what it is.
To give you some background, i’ve worked with Pauline twice now; once in The Vagina Monologues (where she told everyone she was pregnant, a memory as a Director I shall hold forever) and once on a concert (let’s forget the gloves shall we?!) Pauline set up her own recuritment company almost 2 years ago – in a time when most other companies were closing down. As with most companies, including my own theatre company, she found that work evolved and changed direction and she now runs Dickson Lewis .
She was questioning the use of Blogging, how to go about it, what does she include. My answer was to be honest, to be yourself.
Pauline is doing some amazing work with people at job centres across Edinburgh, in fact she is using various techniques to give people confidence to use their skills to their full potential. Some of the things she was saying last night was just fantatsic and I said I would love to read a blog about the challenges and achievements you are seeing on a daily basis as a new business in this climate.
I have been amazed at how many people read my blog from across the globe, America, Sweeden, Australia etc. Imagine the hope and drive Pauline could people on the other side of the planet by just writing about what she’s doing?
We are in a finicial climate that we have not seen ourselves in for years, people are loosing their jobs on a daily basis and jobs are at risk constantly – so i’m amazed and honoured to know that Pauline has not only set up her own business in this difficult time but she is in fact helping hundreds more have the confidence to try and achieve their dreams by running wonderful workshhops, and hopefully once she starts Blogging can help people across the world do the exact same thing!
You Go Girl!
