Happy New Year Everyone.
The fundraising group have had a pretty easy time of it recently!!! Now we need to up the commitment and get some money in the bank……
To start the year off we are holding the following:-

NORTH BERWICK BOWLING CLUB
A warm welcome from the Fundraising Group to the new parents and thanks to those who have already taken an active part in the fundraising group.
Our aim this year is to raise £2000 for the school and the events we are hoping to plan will include a Christmas Fair, a Quiz Night and hopefully a Race Night with an 80’s Disco. As usual if anyone had any other ideas that might help with fundraising please let us know.
i will be sending out Yellowmoon Brochures with the children this week, the school will get a percentage of what you buy. Also if you recall last year I sent out information about Edupayment, again if you log on to the school through them and do online shopping with any of the estores listed, again we benefit. Lastly you will be receiving an envelope to recycle your old mobile phones. Not only should this be a tick box for our Eco Friendly school but we again get money from the company.
Our next fundraising meeting will be held on Tuesday 12th October, 7.30pm at 11 Dirleton Avenue, North Berwick. Leisa’s house.
If anyone wants to attend feel free to park at my house and we’ll all go in one car (Bakersfield, Dirleton) or just meet us there.
We’ve been a bit quiet recently; we thought that after such a great night at the ceilidh we’d leave you alone for a while!!!!
Here are the forthcoming events we have planned.
Our next fundraiser is our BEETLE DRIVE and it will take place next Thursday, 13th May, at the school. It starts at 6.30pm and will be finished by 8.30pm.
Entry is £1 per adult and 50p per child.
We will be hosting a children’s toy shop so if your child could bring one toy that they don’t want anymore which we can sell and if they bring along £1 they can buy one toy back. Can these toys be given to Sam By Thursday.
There will also be a raffle for the adults – donations on the night welcome. Refreshments will be on sale during the evening. Anyone willing to help set up after school that day please contact Sam Hutchison (Ross’s Mum).
Our final event for this school year will be a FAMILY BBQ on Sunday 6th June (to be confirmed) which will take place at Yellowcraig. We are suggesting that everyone brings a picnic and we can make it a pot luck style picnic. Burgers will be on sale as will alcohol beverages for the adults, albeit a very limited choice – Wine or Beer.
It is our intention to invite the parents and children of the new P1 to let them get a chance to meet everyone, before they start school in August.
We will be hosting a sandcastle competition, a treasure hunt and hopefully with the help from the adults a game of footie and rounders!!!!!
