Three departments in the school work collaboratively on the S1-3 Technologies Courses.
Computing Science
Students in S1 discover the world of Networks and Web Communication through the use of the school resources and the Edubuzz system in East Lothian. They also learn about computer hardware & software and develop their skills in graphics and animation.
Students in S2 look at multimedia in more detail, including audio and video. They begin learning to develop applications through a game development unit and then go on to apply the skills learned in S1-2 by developing a website for a project.
Work is currently ongoing to plan the S3 Technologies course, and the three technologies departments are also looking at further options for study at this level.
