Your task is to design a new app. This app could be used on phones, MP3 players or other portable devices. You need to research what makes a good app and think of an original idea of your own.
You might have already downloaded apps from either iTunes or Android Market and now your going to design your own.

- apps Categories
There are different categories that apps get defined under. These categories are aimed at different people. Your task is to research into the different categories of apps and write a description of who would use these apps and why.
- Txt spk
In the age of the internet we have adapted a new language. Txt spk is often used in conversations but do you know what they all mean? Find the definitions of these ‘words’ and when would you use them?

In school we also use abbreviations and subject specific terminology. Find the definition of these ‘words’.

- What makes a good app?
Discuss with a friend or family member what would make a good app. What makes the best apps so popular? (Angry Bird, Paper Toss or NYTimes). Write up your findings.
- Ideas
Write down as many different ideas as you can, either a brief description or a name. Sketch up a couple ideas to support your descriptions.
- CopyRight
Conduct research using Android Market or iTunes to see if anything already exists to make sure that you’re not copying. If you are stuck for ideas spend a few minutes looking at what is available and hopefully you will get some inspiration.
