Staff raise funds for charity! The staff decided to wear pink on Friday to raise money on Breast Cancer Awareness Day. We all made sure we wore somethink pink for the day – even the male teachers wore some lovely pink tights! Can you guess which legs belong to Mr Lorimer?

October 31st, 2009 — Session 2009/2010
Primary 2/1 have been learning all about lighthouses as part of their topic “The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch”. They have a giant lighthouse in the class, and everyone has made small models of lighthouses. In art, they have been creating wonderful pictures of lighthouses.
Primary 6 became ambasadors for a country in the European Union. Each group created their own information wall.
During the fire safety week, everyone in school was involved in a variety of activites all to help promote fire safety. Primary 1 were lucky to have a close up view of the fire engine when it visited the school playground.
In our nursery class at we have been enjoying a project about Weddings. One of our children is attending a wedding in Pakistan and another child attended a local wedding. Primary 2 have been finding out about our Solar System. We looked at books and used the internet to find information about the planets and then we used what we had learned to make a wall display. Did you know that the Sun is so big that about 1 million Earths could fit into it?
