How will we prepare our learners, 3-18, for the world of the 21st century?
This is a PowerPoint presentation from Learning and Teaching Scotland which attempts to tie together the various strands. The whole presentation builds the diagram above, which you can click on to see a larger version.
The player below lets you skim through it, but the details won’t be very clear. To see it full size, click the Slideshare logo in the bottom right corner. That will open it on its page on the Slideshare site, where you can select a full-screen view, or download the file.

A 4-page paper by May Sweeney, ACfE National Co-ordinator, has been added to the Resources from Australia page.
The education departments of the states of Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania have responded to global challenges in similar ways in terms of their philosophy, but have adopted different approaches to implementation. Among the common themes which emerged from my visits was the central role of the teacher in leading change. A key feature of effective innovation has been the leadership displayed by teachers in charge of cross-curricular teams.
