Congratulations and well done to Brogan in P6a!
Brogan has been going to Sea Cadets now for over a year, and so has been presented with her first star for attendance and good conduct. As well as her star, she has also achieved her yellow, red and blue modules. Her Red is for completing indoor activities such as improving fitness, her Blue is for outdoor activities on the boats and her Yellow is for services in the community. Brogan took part in gardening at a care home for the elderly, and her group had talks from local councillors about how they can help in their area. On top of all that, Brogan also received her Camp Craft badge after attending camp last August, working with others to set up campfires and cooking her own food. This all sounds like a lot of fun and a really rewarding thing to do Brogan! Keep it up and keep us posted!

Well done to Maggie in P4b
for raising £240.83 for the charity OPSA. This charity supports doctors using their holidays to travel to underdeveloped countries to perform operations on children with facial disfigurements http://www.opsacharity.org.uk/. Maggie was inspired to raise money after hearing about the charity on Blue Peter and has raised this impressive amount by doing beauty treatments for her family, selling cards and lavendar bags at the school fair, organising a raffle and holding a fundraising breakfast for her friends and their mums. An outstanding and very enterprising achievement Maggie!

Hannah, that’s amazing. A 2 year Associateship at Scottish Ballet. Maybe you’ll be like the Scottish girl who’s gone to study ballet in Russia. Well done. Your family must be very proud of you. So are we.

Maggie, that is an amazing amount of money. The cards you sold were lovely. I still have that nice greeny blue one I bought at the Spring Fair. I’m going to give it to my best friend. And I have the lovely gold scrunchie in my hair at the moment. You’ve come up with so many great ideas to raise this money. I can see just why your mum and dad are so proud of you. Well done.
Rebecca, Grade 2 in Primary 1, I’m very impressed. Good for you. Keep trying hard.
MsLaing

Maggie you have done a wonderful thing by supporting this very worthwhile charity through all your hard work. You have been very creative in your ideas, to raise a staggering amount. It really shows what a difference one person can make in the world. You can be so proud of yourself!
Mairi and Rhea, very well done for you success in trampolining! It is a sport that is much harder than it looks, with lots of control and skill needed. Well done too Mairi for your distinction in your ballet exam. I’m sure you will be a very graceful dancer.

Hurray… well done to Luke, John and Ross for bringing the boys’ achievements to us all. Luke, you have come a Campie Hero…. everybody knows how great you are. Ross and John, I’m still hearing from people about how informed you were talking about Burma to teachers and professionals who knew little about it. Ms Bonnar, at MGS, is hoping you’re going to join the Amnesty Group. Tuesday lunchtimes at MGS. She’s coming to talk to the P7s about it with some MGS students.
Samantha, is that a dance award you got? Come and tell me. It sounds great. Rhea and Mhairi… I didn’t even know there were grades in trampolining. I thought it was just about bouncing and usually falling off! Maybe that was just me when I was young? Mhairi, you and your pals at Musselburgh Swimming Club did so well. I heard you were swimming 50…60…70 lengths and more. You must be super fit. Jessica, I can just see you doing acrobatics… you look quite bendy and you definitely have loads of energy. Finally Rebecca in P1…. I’m amazed that you can pass a ballet exam in P1. Well done.
