Our Afternoon Caterpillar Adventures!

Published by under Nursery

The afternoon nursery children really enjoyed their caterpillar workshop with Stuart Whittaker, the NTS Ranger from the Newhailes Estate. Stuart played lots of exciting minibeast games with the children before teaching them more about the lifecycle of a butterfly. The children had to use the giant multi coloured parachute to help them understand how a tiny caterpillar turns into a beautiful butterfly. They moved the parachute up and down to pretend to spin their cocoon before running underneath to go to sleep like a real caterpillar…it was lots of fun! We would like to extend an enormous thank you to Stuart for all his hard work and the time he has spent with our nusrery children. They all loved their afternoon ‘caterpillar adventure’ and they have definitely learned a great deal from Stuart.
