This is what P6a’s been up to recently…
Here are all the things P6a have been up to since coming back after Christmas. We’re going to tell you a line or two about each thing!
Euroquiz – P6a went to the Euroquiz with other P6′s to Musselburgh Grammar School and everyone had one of the Grammar School pupils to help them in the quiz. We also had fun but we never won this time!
Musselburgh Library -P6a went on a visit to Musselburgh library. We worked in groups to write a scene from a story. We all got given a free book to keep!
PC Smith visit – Primary 6 had a visit from PC Smith. He told us about keeping safe and our rights and responsibilities.
Scotland, Burns and poetry writing – During January we explored lots of Scottish poetry and even wrote some of our own! We had to research famous Scots for homework and we learned lots of new Scot’s words.
Writer’s Museum – Two weeks ago P6a went to the Writers Museum in Edinburgh. We worked in teams to find out lots of information about famous Scottish authors. We went there and back on a big bus!
Eco-Action day – All the school got involved in Eco Action Day and dressed in green. We made Eco art to sell at our exhibition in the Summer! We got to see lots of amazing Rainforest animals and even handle some. We raised lots of money for our Eco work and the Rainforest.
Read-a-thon – Last Friday P6a managed to read solidly for almost 2 hours!! We’ve raised lots of money for a friendship bench in the playground!
We’re sure the rest of the term will be just as busy!
