P7 AMAZING WEB CAM LINK

Published by under Uncategorized

Last Thursday P7 had an amazing web cam link and most of the p7s enjoyed it. A man called David Gilmore fitted our web cam for us and he was really good. Our volume was not working at first but David Gilmore fixed it and it was really really good. At last when everything was working both of the P7  classes shared their little pieces of Scotland. We all realy enjoyed it and hope to do it again.

Thank you Finlay and John, I’m pleased that you enjoyed taking part in this type of web conference. I was very impressed by how good everyone’s stories about Scotland were; it was like a sort of “Campie TV” travel show with reporters in the two P7 classes.

Now that we know it works well, I’d like your classes to think what other quick linkups like this might help with your learning? We can currently link between any of the Campie classes, and could also link with parents or children at home too, if they have good PCs and broadband, and don’t mind installing a little program.

We can also use it to link up with a big video conference unit in the East Lothian Council Education offices – if we can get our hands on the room it’s in!
