P5a Light and Sound
P5a have a new topic – Light and Sound. We have been focussing on Light part first and have come up with some splendid questions- we really are getting good at this! Colour, shadows and reflections are going to be our main areas of study and we are looking forward to lots of active learning! Already we have found out that light is made up of a rainbow of colours. Check out what happens when you spin a colour wheel! The rainbow of colours is seen as white. When a colour wheel spins fast, your eyes see the colours but your brain cannot separate them and you see a different colour
I am really enjoying this topic and learning can be fun.
The Light topic would tie in with the workshop that Generation Science did recently with the nursery children. The children went into a large silver dome and learnt all about light, shadows, rainbows. I’m sure the workshop could be adapted for P5 age children. I certainly learnt from it and agree learning can be fun.
i think light and sound was a great topic because we got mirrors and try to go threw a ,aze by looking at th mirror
i have no idea what light and sound is but it sounds like fun !!!
