Upper Stages P6-7
On these pages you will find out what pupils in P6 and P7 are doing.
On Monday 28th January, our P6 and P7 pupils spent the morning rehearsing for their performance of the Scottish Opera - Passport to Paris. The pupils and staff have put in a lot of time and effort over the last few weeks learning the songs. The morning was spent working with the staff from Scottish Opera - affectionately known as Madame Fosse, Mr Perma-Tan, Jo and Lindsay!
In the afternoon, the pupils donned their colourful costumes and transformed from a group of Windygoul Primary School pupils into French and Scottish travellers and a group of flight attendants! The transformation was spectacular and the costumes definitely helped the children take on their different roles - even Mr Thomas, Mrs Herriot and Ms Pyke wore the appropriate hats!
P6 and P7 pupils are having a busy start to the term. They have been learning songs provided by Scottish Opera - quite a feat! They have already had one session with the staff from Scottish Opera and will take part in workshops at the end of the month before putting on a performance to the rest of the school. Parents of pupils in P6 and P7 will also be invited to see the performance.

Having attended the above performance I think all primary 6 and 7’s should be congratulated on a fantastic performance. It was great fun to watch, very colourful and it was obvious the amount of hard work that had gone into the performance by the pupils and staff alike.
Very impressive and most enjoyable.
Thanks

I’m glad you enjoy being at the school Lewis. One of teh good things about this year at Windygoul is that everyone was new to the school, so it’s great that everyone has made new friends.
