Miss Elliott in Thailand
As you know, Miss Elliott left us at the end of last session to take up a teaching post in Thailand. She has adapted very quickly to the change in culture and is already feeling at home. Below you can see a photograph of her classroom in Thailand.

i miss miss elliot because she is the kindaet teacher ihave ever had and i miss her so much i hope we can all see her again

Thank you for your lovely comment, Lucy. I hope you are enjoying P6. I miss Windygoul a lot but I am having such a great experience in Thailand. It is very different from Scotland, not just because it is so much hotter and the food is different. Life in the classroom is almost the same as at home but one difference - we all wander about without any shoes on. In Thailand it is polite to remove your shoes before entering someones house and even when going into some shops. Our school used to be a house so we still adhere to this custom and the children and I take our shoes off before going into class. Of course the other difference for me is that English is not the first language for about half of the chidlren in my class so I have to remember that they don’t always know every word. Three of the children do not speak English very well at all and I am having to do a lot to try to teach them. So although I am missing Windygoul a lot I am enjoying my new class and all the challenges we have together.
