It’s great to see everyone back for the start of the new term at Windygoul. As well as welcoming our new Primary One pupils to the school, we have a number of new pupils joining us from other schools, as well as some new staff - read our newsletter to find out more. We hope everyone is ready for the busy term ahead.

Already in our first week, some of our P2 and P3 pupils have had a visit from one of East Lothian’s drama teachers - they all enjoyed the workshop they took part in. Our pupils from P2/3 to P7 will be busy this week electing Pupil Council and Eco group members and we also have a judo demonstration for P2-P7.

We’ll keep you informed of all the activities that we will be taking part in this year.

Our primary 7 pupils headed off yesterday morning to Ross High School for their 2 day transition visit. The children all arrived at Windygoul early to walk together down to Ross High with Mr Thomas and Mrs Herriot. There were a few worried faces but mostly a feeling of anticipation and excitement. The children were looking forward to seeing some of their old friends from Sanderson’s Wynd, and some of the new ones they met at school camp.

Let’s hope they come back to Windygoul on Friday having enjoyed themselves, and are looking forward to starting Ross High in August.
