Calculating the size of our carbon footprints
P4/5 were busy last week calculating the size of their carbon footprints and looking at ways to reduce them.
They looked at Transport, School, Home, Food, What they Use and What they Throw Away to work out their carbon footprint. The sizes of the footprints ranged vastly from 2 - 12.7
Liam and his family have been looking at ways to reduce their carbon footprint and have come up with some of the following initiatives;-
Turn down the thermostat on the central heating
Switch off lights when they leave the room
Recycle more waste
Use recycled carrier bags at the shops
Can you come up with some more ideas?
