Class Puppet Shows
P3/4 have been extremely busy over the last week making puppets, puppet theatres and putting on puppet performances. Very exhausting!!!
The children all got to choose material, wool, glue, pens etc to make puppets of their own choice. They were then given the task of making in groups, a puppet theatre. They were given “junk” i.e. cereal boxes, kitchen roll tubes, washing powder boxes etc and then designed and decorated their own puppet theatres, using whatever resources they wanted to use.
Finally, today (4th October 2007) each group put on their puppet performance to the class. They were all excellent and worked extremely well in their groups. They also showed that they were improving their talking skills, by happily and confidently taking part in this activity.
The grand finale to all of this hard work, was a trip to Brunton Theatre this afternoon to see a performance of Shona Reppe Puppets.
Well done to all in P3/4 - you are all supertars!!
