Ancient Greeks & Playscripts
P3/4 have been very busy over the first weeks of term.
They have been learning about the Greeks and have produced some fantastic paintings of greek urns which have been beautifully displayed in the upper corridor, with some of them also on view on the Head Teacher’s Special Work Wall.
The children have also made urns out of clay which they painted orange and black which are on display in the classroom.
The P3/4 children have also been looking at playscripts and in particular characters. They have been learning how to use adjectives to describe characters in their writing and have then been looking for them in their reading. The children also had the opportunity to draw some characters using the adjectives written by the authors.
P3/4 have also been outside looking at suitable settings for a dinosaur story. They looked all over the field and garden at places that would be suitable for a dinosaur to live in, before coming back inside to actually write the story!
