P1/2 have been learning all about sunflowers!
Before the end of last term, our P1/2 class grew sunflowers from seed and then planted them into their class bed in our new garden. Despite the dreadful summer weather, the plants have thrived and are now starting to bloom.
Taking advantage of the current warm and dry weather, Mrs Elliott and Mrs Simpson have taken the children into the garden and they have been drawing wonderful pictures of the sunflowers.
The pupils have also been making beautiful sunflowers which are adding a lovely splash of colour to the display in the classroom.
