Sponsored Walk, Teeth Brushing and Road Safety Campaign!
The Nursery have been very busy over the last couple of weeks (starting 5th and 12th November 2007.
The sponsored Witches and Warlock Walk, in aid of “Send a Cow” and the Nursery Fund was a big success and the nursery are still waiting on the final sponsorship monies coming in. Anyone still wishing to make a donation should go along to the Nursery and hand it in to Mrs Carde or Mrs Campbell. The nursery staff and pupils hope to let you know next week how much money has been raised.
Thank you to everybody who supported them in their fund raising efforts.
They have been also learning about road safety and in particular, Crossing Safely and Wearing a Seatbelt/Staying Safe in the Car. The children have been working on this in class and most were able to correctly identify on a picture where the safest place was to cross the road.
They have also been looking at the colour RED - they have been making pictures and paintings using all different shades of red. These are now displayed for you all to see in the Nursery. There is also wonderful red water in the Nursery water tray and the children have particularly enjoyed playing with this!
On top of all this, they have also had a visit from the Dental Nurse to show them all how to brush and look after their teeth correctly!
Wow….. all that in just two weeks!
