Baby Animals and Letters of the Week
The Nursery children have been learning about ‘baby aniimals’.
They have enjoyed playing with domestic and wild animals and matching the mothers and babies. The children also made animal biscuits which were very tasty!
They had a visit from Jane Gray (a parent of the school) with her new baby and the children really enjoyed asking lots of questions about babies. Some of the girls had the chance to hold the baby. The children all brought in baby photographs of themselves and had fun being ‘detectives’ whilst they tried to identify one another! These will be used by Mrs Campbell to set up a ‘Rogues Gallery’ in the Nursery.
In addition we have started a ‘Letter of the Week’, theme and the children have amazed us with their capacity to learn ’s’ and ‘a’ through play.
