School Garden & John Muir Award Log Books (w/c 18th February 2008)
Due to the weather this week, P4/5 have not been able to get out into the school grounds much…
This week there was a visit from Rosie from Roots & Fruits who discussed with the class how to develop and look after the school garden. She will be working with the pupils fortnightly to redevelop it and hopefully grow some fresh fruit and veg.
The class were excited that their proposal has been accepted and were motivated with the arrival of their own personal John Muir award log books in which they can record their journey and keep.
P4/5 have explored responsible and irresponsible behaviour when using the outdoors through their drama work and the class came up with some fantastic role plays showing how their choice and decision can affect the outcome of things. They have also played some games in groups to help familiarise themselves with the country code.
