Mid Term Break
[ February 11, 2008; February 12, 2008; February 13, 2008; ] Pupils and staff finish at lunchtime on Friday 8th February 2008 for their mid term break. The staff return on Wednesday 13th February 2008 for an in-service day and all pupils return to school on Thursday 14th February 2008 at 8.55am

P1/2 Transport Project
As part of their work on their Transport Project, the children from P1/2 went to visit Roseisle Garage in Whitecraig on Wednesday 30th January 2008. They went with Miss Ritchie, Mrs Simpson and parent helper Miss Sloan and Emma’s granny Mrs Scott.

P4/5 Class Reading - Darren Shan titles
Miss Noon and P4/5 have recently read the first two titles by Darren Shan called Cirque De Freak and The Vampires Assistant.
Many of the children were so totally engrossed and enthralled by these two books that they have gone to buy further titles by the same author and all of the class are thoroughly enjoying them!

John Muir Presentations
The pupils from P4/5 have been working on John Muir for their class topic.
Recently the children were asked to present a talk on John Muir to the other pupils in their class.

P4/5 have been calculating the size of their carbon footprints!
P4/5 were busy last week calculating the size of their carbon footprints and looking at ways to reduce them.
They looked at Transport, School, Home, Food, What they Use and What they Throw Away to work out their carbon footprint. The sizes of the footprints ranged vastly from 2 - 12.7
