Primary six’s camp at Stirling June 12, 2009
Posted by showie in : Uncategorized , trackbackLast Wednesday Stirling had a little visit from primary six.
We went to Stirling on Wednesday the 3rd of June and here is a little idea of what we were up to!
Wednesday - We left school to start our big adventure to Stirling. We left school at 10:15 ish. Some of people’s parents were waiting to walk their children to the railway station. We walked all the way to Wallyford railway station, and more people’s parents gradually joined the pack to meet their children or grandchildren and so on.
When we finally go to the train station lots of people saw their parents, carers or other members of their family. When it was time to get on the train we all gave our family members a big hug and kiss and got on the train.
When we were on the train people played their DS’s and chatted. When we got off the train there was about 20 minutes to spare so we had a little snack and headed to the platform.
When we got to Stirling we walked and walked and walked. After about 20 minute’s of walking we saw a little grassy area so we sat down and had our lunch! After we had our lunch we headed back up to the youth hostel and got our room keys. After we got our room key’s we visited our room’s and then went to another play park to play with the Parachute. We had lots of fun playing ‘shark rescue’ and ‘cat and mouse’, then we headed back to the hostel for showers and dinner.
After we had our showers and dinner we went to a different park but this time to the park with rides and the flying fox. After about an hour half an hour of playing we headed back to the youth hostel for bedtime.
Tuesday - After we got our breakfast, we got ready and left the hostel to go to Stirling castle. Before we left the hostel we got given a sheet off laminated paper with pictures on it that we need to find in the castle.
When it was time to have lunch we all met in ‘Queen Anne’s Gardens’ and ate our lunch on the grass then we went on a Jester Japes activity. We were led round the castle by a funny jester, then we went to the education room and learnt some new skills. We learnt how to juggle, use the Diablo, use the magic sticks and spin plates. It was brilliant. Mrs Fitzpatrick tried all of them. She was funny.
After that we went to the gift shop with out adult group leaders. The adult helper’s were Mr Thompson, Mrs Fitzpatrick, Miss Scott and Ms Howie. A lot of boys bought swords not real swords though. After Stirling castle we went back to the same park as we did on Wednesday and after that we went back to the youth hostel for dinner and went back to the park again, (I think) J.
Friday - On Friday we got ready to go back to Wallyford to meet our parents. Not all the parent’s were there to take their children home so most of the class needed to go back to school until home time. When we got to school some of us played on guitar hero until the bell.
And that’s or trip to Stirling. It was absolutely fantastic!
