P7 Update Week 3 September 3, 2008

Posted by Scott Lavery in : Primary 7 , trackback

P7 had our first class meeting and we decided we needed a business plan if we want to start a Fairtrade Tuckshop.
Liam W, Clark and Greig have the best brain ages, so far, on the D.S’.
Mr Ledingham -Director of Education for East Lothian, came into our class and he told us that we were one of the best working classes he had seen ,because we were all concentrating on our work on the D.S’. He has even written about us on his blog.
We have been learning how to write an adventure story using a planning hill and we enjoyed reading the story called “House Haunting.”
Danny C and Rachel have been continuing to learn guitar with Mr Coady.
This week on Keeping Myself Safe we had to act out difficult situations and use strategies to solve them.
We continued with our Reading Circles and keri is reading “The Foxbusters” with her group and she is enjoying it at the moment.
P5,6,and 7 boys and girls will start football training on Wednesday after school at 3.30pm.
We have also been using I.C.T to help us with our maths work.

Interesting blog P7 - there’s lots happening. You seem to be taking so much responsibilty for your own learning. I am proud of you. Clark came to see me today to show me he has a brain age of 20 - what progress he has made - keep at it Clark!
Rachel and Danny, ask Mr Coady about performing to the school at assembly???
Have a good week everyone.

I have not been along to the school in the mornings for months, but today i decided to come along and see my boys into school. I spoke to many of the children in P7, and would like to say, that the ones i spoke to were so polite and well mannered.
Hello to everyone in P7 and a huge HELLO to Stuat, Clark, Kylum and Liam W.

6. DECLAN - September 5, 2008

I have told my mum off because she has spelt 2 names wrong on messgae 5. Instead of Stuat, it should be Stuart. Instead of Kylum, it should be Kaylum. Hello to P7 and Mrs Harte.

9. dbeveridge - September 10, 2008

Declan, what a responsible person, supporting your mum with her spelling. Maybe that’s something we could think about P7s doing this year- supporting other younger children with spelling - speak with Mrs Harte and see what she thinks.
