Don’t burn your fingers on the flame of learning.
Okay, here goes. It seems like I’ve been planning this blog forever… hopefully it’ll live up to my own expectations if nothing else!
By way of introduction for those who don’t know me, I’m a Maths teacher with a massive interest in technology and interactive whiteboards in particular.
After one term of using our new Promethean ActivBoards, I’ve been thinking it’s probably about time I started sharing some of my ideas on how to make the best use of this amazing learning tool.
My hope is that all teachers in everyday classrooms will actually read this and be able to make use of some of my ideas… for this reason I’m going to try and keep each post as short as possible. If it takes more than a minute to read then it’s too long!
With that in mind, I should probably stop writing fairly soon… that’s the first post out of the way at any rate
Bye for now and come back soon!
Hi Tim - how did I miss the arrival of this blog? Good to see you’ve got started. I look forward to lots of cool tips and resources I can “borrow”
Thanks Robert! It’s good to know that someone has finally noticed my blog. Do you mind if I ask how you found out about it?
The reason that I haven’t contributed anything for a while is that as far as I can see, my blog is invisible to the outside world… including visitors to the exc-el website!
Now wonder you ‘missed its arrival’! Hmmm… there’s not much point in starting a blog if nobody can find it!
Any ideas for how I could go about getting it added to the list on the exc-el welcome page? Maybe sort of special pay-off is required
Hi Tim - I found out about it through Jenny Ewan. Actually, though, you are on the front page now. Now I know about you I’ll put a feed from your site onto the emaths site that you probably didn’t know about
I am excited to find this blog too! It was mentioned in another blog I subscribe too–wish I’d have kept it open so I could tell you which one. I can’t wait to share this with my other fellow LMS’s who are using promethean boards. Keep posting good stuff. I find the Promehean Planet forums just way too much to digest.
Tim,
Excellent job making each point so short and sweet! Very useful for a beginning user. Keep them coming!
