Tess
I am an Acting Education Support Officer (ESO) for ICT in East Lothian, Scotland. I am also a Glow Mentor.
Within East Lothian, I am actively involved with the Authority’s ‘EduBuzz’ project. This includes developing social software such as podcasts and blogs with staff, pupils and classes. EduBuzz is an ongoing, informing development that is now feeding into Glow in East Lothian.
I have been teaching for nearly nine years. Prior to my secondment, I was (am) a Teacher of Biology and Science at Knox Academy. Before I was appointed in East Lothian I spent two years teaching with Edinburgh City Council and one year as a Supply Teacher for Fife, Midlothian and West Lothian Councils.
I Graduated from The University of Stirling in 2000 with a BSc -DipEd.
When I am not in the classroom I enjoy a number of activities. If there is snow I ski, if there is water I sail and if there is rugby on you will find me watching. I also enjoy playing my piano, though my neighbours don’t!

Hi Tessa,
I was a pupil at St Auggies from 1993 - 1999, and I remember Aly Gordon very well. It is something of a shock to see that last photo of him on your blog. Aly didn’t teach me as I was beyond rubbish at physics, however i was in Calamity Jane, did he ever talk of being in that. Well must go, just though i was say hi, by the way I am Isobel Buick’s daughter. If the name rings a bell.

@Claire- Thanks for your comment. Aly is a huge loss to so many people. His death was tradgic. Like myself, I am so glad that you have wonderful memories of him.
Please pass my regards on to Isobel.
@Rachael- Thank you. I hope you find some of the stuff on my Biology Big Brother page useful.

Hi Tessa,
We met briefly at the probationer’s induction at Campie school in August. I’m one of the modern language probationers at North Berwick High School. I’ve been checking out some blogs to see how best to manage ours and I wondered if you could give me some help? I’m trying to set up the menu bar (the one where you have “Home / Tess Watson / Glow / Classroom Extras / etc” and I can’t seem to get it right. I’ve changed the “about” title to read “French” but when I create a new page and entitle it “German” it jist disnae work! What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
All the best,
Suzanne

Why thank you DJ. Is there any chance you might want to share your thoughts, ideas and experiences in the same way? If so, just give me a shout!

Ha! Just realised you’ve already done the Passion Quilt thing. Sorry to tag you again. Perhaps you could explain how a graduate of Stirling doesn’t know how to spell “University”?

Ah, Mr MacPhail,
How are things down under? We are thinking about a world round trip this summer. We may well desend on Adelaide!
As FOr me and IT, I would like to point out that when we lived in Nicholson St, It was the year 2000. We had a really old dodgey PC with a totally rubbish ‘Compu-serve’ dial up connnection! I see you have written on my facebook wall. I will get back to you tonight dude!
Hope all is well,
