YouTube Videos To Ignite Science
Having just finished my marking for the evening I thought I would pop into my twitter account.
I saw this from ‘the beeb’ and wasn’t sure what to make of it…
“Screaming Jelly Babies and exploding puddings are being used to attract more recruits into science teaching”
Though Science can be associated with exciting experiments, is this really the best way of attracting potential Teachers of Science?
Is there room for discussion here?
I think that these clips should be on teachertube.com - a better platform for teachers, pupils and companies.
Let me know what you thinkĀ

Teaching science through hands on interactive fun experiments is definately the way to go. Kids and teachers both get burned out by textbook only approach. Lets face it text books are no fun. If you can mingle the text book learning with fun experiments that capitvate the mind, then the learning goes way up! Here is a quote:
Confucius: “They told me, and I forgot it. I saw it, and I understood. I did it, and I learned.”
