Teachmeet Road Show- Ross High
Yesterday we held a second Teachmeet Roadshow at Ross High School in Tranent. Due to the nature of this Roadshow we were required to bring in equipment from Prestonpans Education Centre:
-
10 DVD Kits - 20 Web Cam Packs
- 20 Digital Cameras
- 10 iBook Power Supplies (including no 4
) - 10 G4 iBooks
- 24 USB Desk Microphones
- 2 LCD Projectors
- 4 iPods
- 10 Animation Kits (including mone monster box of Plastacine)
- 5 Huge Camera Tripods
I am sure there was actually more!
We were very lucky that David’s Volvo had such a big boot. Unfortunately I was unable to attend this event (I was ‘site’ visiting other schools prior to their Promethean White Board installations). However, I managed to pop in at the end to help load-up the equipment.
We have still to fully read the feedback forms, but having had a skim through, the comments appear to be very positive. It is excellent to see the collaboration of colleagues sharing all the superb practice that is going on here in East Lothian. I would like to thank the team and mentors involved for their hard work. I would also like to say a big thank you to Marion at Prestonpans Education Centre for her ongoing outstanding organisation. It really makes things so much easier when dealing with such large quantities of equipment (if anything is missing, please give Ollie a shout
)

The Teachmeet Roadshow programme is fantastic - one of the many strengths of the ICT team. If you have any other Teachmeet’s coming up let me know, I am always more than happy to be a trainer and can always pick up the equipment in my van (in fact I think I still have a lot of it in their from the last MGS teachmeet?) Enjoy the rest of your weekend! OB

Hi Tess
Thanks for the mention. It is such a huge undertaking to prepare all the equipment and then check it all again on return. I am really pleased to say that everything was returned in good order (even that cheeky wee Charger No 4!).
No way is the equipment going to be swalled up by the White Van Man!
