Teachmeet Road Show- MGS
Tomorrow afternoon, in East Lothian, we will be hosting the next in our series of Teachmeet Road shows. This Road show is being held at Musselburgh Grammar School.
Our Teachmeet Road shows consist of several seminar type sessions. These are designed to allow staff to explore and share ideas and practice that is being used in schools throughout the region. Staff are invited to sign up for these sessions (they are counted as CPD). Tomorrow there will be five sessions with nearly one hundred staff attending:
- Digital Video- Dave Rawson will be showing staff how to make the most of Microsoft’s- Window’s Movie Maker.
- Podcasting- David Gilmour will be looking at how to broadcast online using Audacity.
- Digital Photography- Brian Cunningham and Robin Strain will be investigating how to take great photos, edit them and publish them online.
- Animation- Ollie Bray will be playing with some Lego men and plasticine, looking at how to create a basic animation and then share it with others.
- Online Publishing- I will be exploring the many ways that staff and pupils can utilise and use the EduBuzz Wordpress platform to enhance teaching and learning.
Karen Robertson and Elizabeth Cowan will be coordinating the various sessions and helping out where required.

Really looking forward to tomorrows workshops - just be re-freshing my memory of I Can animate. See you tomorrow. Ollie

Hi John.
These sessions are great. There is so much on offer that is relevant to Drama (and all subjects).
Maybe you could approach your line manager?
Ask if you can attend our next event? (hopefully it won’t clash with ‘Whole School’ CAT time)
