The Sunday Times Planets DVD

Here at Knox Academy, we are under going the rewriting of our First and second year science course. The course is taught as Science as oppose to the discreet Sciences. The reason we are rewriting the course is to bring it up to date with the most recent guidelines and to accommodate ACfE. One particular topic of the course looks at the Solar system. As part of one lesson, the pupils watch a 20 minute DVD which takes them through the Solar System. There is one small problem. We only have one DVD and it is copyrighted. This ultimately means that if two teachers clash during that particular lesson, one of them would have to rearrange the order that the lessons are taught; hence not ideal. This weekend’s copy of The Sunday Times, included a free copy of the BBC’s series on Planets. Having shown the DVD to a colleague today, I have found out that this it actually contains all the footage of our own copy. We could ideally do with one more copy. If you are a Times reader and you have no use for this great DVD would you consider sending it my way?
