The Potato Story

Earlier this week I received and email from the makers of this website. It has been newly launched by McCain Foods and is in support of the ‘Year of Food and Farming’ (As a farmer’s daughter, I can sincerely say it’s content is very accurate). The website provides a fun and interactive learning resource for pupils on food origins, plant growth and nutrition.

For my Intermediate 1 classes and I, it will prove to be an excellent resource. I will link it up as soon as Glow goes live in East Lothian.

It complements two out of the three Units of Intermediate 1 Biology.

Unit 1: Health and Technology
Unit 3: Growing Plants

A great resource for Teachers of Biology and others involved with ‘Health Eating’ initiatives ( I will be passing this on to our ‘Health’ working group at school).
