Whats been ‘Glow’-ing on!

On Monday and Tuesday, I attended a residential Glow Training Course based at Stirling Management centre. The attendees included 13 Mentor from various piloting authourities, 3 Educationalists from RM and LTS, and 3 technical staff from RM.
On Monday, we started with an introductory presentation. This mainly focussed on what our aims and objectives of the course were.
Developing the Virtual Learning Environment that is Glow
Uploading, tagging, searching, using and ultimately sharing the wide array of course material that will be available once glow is fully established.
Assigning personal learning plans to individuals or groups of individuals.
Creating online assessments, marking and tracking of individual pupil progress.
We covered so much throughout the two days. I think that I will write a series of posts as I start to put it into practice throughout ‘Phase 3’ Glow Learn.
All in all, we agreed that the course had been exceptionally useful. The development and progress made during the two days was immense. Just wait until we put it into practice during ‘Phase 3’- Glow Learn.

Tess,
I look forward to catching up with you to have a tour of the VLE. Can you fit 2 days into an hour for me? I look forward to your future posts as you explore the possibilities.

Hi Tess,
Sounds good, and looking forward to hearing your take on it…
I just wish they’d gone ahead with the training at SMT for all the mentors…
