London: Heading Home Via Alton Towers!

Miss Watson and Mr Wren experience Nemesis!
On Thursday morning we departed London. On route back to Scotland we were scheduled to spend the afternoon at Alton Towers. I am sure most of you will be aware of how popular a destination Alton Towers is. I won’t give you a report on our experiences there, but as you can imagine, this was one part of the trip that the pupils had been talking about for a long time.
I can’t believe I actually did this!
If you don’t count the hours spent travelling to and from London, our trip lasted around 72 hours. In hindsight, I am not sure how we managed to pack so much in?!

Just to let you know how much I’ve enjoyed reading your blog posts from London. When I was at Dunbar Grammar we set up a blog when we went to Yosemite. The response from parents and other pupils about the blog was exceptional.
Your posts provide an insight into trips which would otherwise be impossible .

Thank you Don. Next year, I am hoping that we will be able to provide a ‘Trip’ website where any teachers, pupils and/or parents can choose to collaborate, share and actively be engaged and enthused within.
