I am a huge fan of musicals and Concerts. I have been to see a number of them in the last year, my favourite being Avenue Q. However, while I was in London during Easter weekend I decided to go and watch Billy Elliot the Musical. It is based upon the original classic movie (by Stephen Dalry). This musical was just superb. It captures a blend of beautiful choreography, dramatic lighting, catching melodies (music by Elton John), social history, humour and satire.

I am currently helping to organise this year’s activities week trip to London. Unfortunately we have already booked the musicals and sadly Billy Elliot isn’t one of them. However, if you are organising a pupil trip to London or you have an evening to spare in that neck of the woods, Billy Elliot the musical comes highly recommended.
